Product description
Yerba mate is a dried product made from the leaves and twigs of Paraguayan holly (Ilex paraguariensis). Once brewed, it yields a distinctive infusion with a herbaceous and smoky aroma and a slightly bitter taste, which many compare to strong tea, but with a more earthy note.
Yerba mate is particularly popular in South American countries and is often chosen as an alternative to coffee or tea in daily routines.
Usage
1. Pour a glass of hot water (approx. 80°C) over one teaspoon of Yerba mate and leave to brew, covered, for about 10-15 minutes.
2. Place the bombilla (filter straw) into the vessel. Fill the vessel with Yerba mate to ½ to ¾ of its volume. Pour hot, but not boiling, water over the dried leaves.
